The youth of Japan is worlds apart from its parent generation; finding liberation in street fashion and deconstructionism, the generation gap is responsible for its avant-garde aesthetic. In deterrence from common school uniforms and business suits, teens prefer unconventional shapes and silhouettes. They prefer layers, accessories and conflicting patterns which deviate from traditional standards.
It can be quite complicated when putting together outfits with this style but it’s all in the art of the Japanese aesthetic. Complexity and oddity are ‘en vogue’ in this part of the world.
